Inspriation for Unique Baths - The Kohler Design CenterIn this Kohler Design Center suite, Eric Cohler (the name is Cohler not Kohler) uses a combination of many suite’s to create a unique bath from his travel experiences around the world. The design is named “Spa Tower” and is one of the newest rooms in the Kohler Design Designer Center. “The 14-foot castle-like shower space fuses classicism with modernism,” says Cohler. ” The amazing tile, by Ann Sacks Tile and Stone (another Kohler Company) uses Custom Mosaic tile in Luxor Grey and Linen in alternating horizontal rows, it keeps the eye grounded and draws the eye towards the powder room situated behind the shower. These two design elements combined create motion in both vertical and horizontal directions.” What’s more amazing is the concept used for storage in the shower that I’ve recommended for many years is to use space in the inner wall cavities and create a modern look using glass, marble or granite for a natural look. The shower has 2 shower stations each with its own volume and temperature controls, shower heads and body-sprays allowing each user to create their own a customizable shower experience. Adding to the delight of this shower experience is the use of the KOHLER DTV™, a digital showering system, which allows the bather to preset preferences in the shower including temperature, sequence of spray pattern, and pressure – all at the touch of a button. The bath is designed with a Leighton Comfort Height toilet and a Leighton lavatory in the color Cashmere. The video below shows the suite from the designers perspective.
