Delta Faucets Introduces – New Touch2o Faucet Technology

Delta Faucet Company has introduced the new Touch 2O Faucet Technology on many of their faucets and I was able to see some in a Delta distributors showroom.  It’s a great concept and works much better than infrared type faucets and are much more reliable.

With Touch2O Technology it doesn’t matter if you have two full hands or 10 messy fingers, tap anywhere on the spout or handle and the water is running.

Delta’s Pilar Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O  Technology received a Building Products’ 2009 Most Valuable Product (MVP) Award in the “Kitchen Products” category.   The award is  based on the value it provides builders and remodelers including ease-of-use, forward-thinking and cost-saving elements.   The Pilar with Touch2O Technology was selected for bringing state-of-the-art design and technology into the home.

Pilar is smartly designed for a cleaner and more efficient way to work in the kitchen. The breakthrough pull-down features three relevant technologies from Delta that help simplify kitchen tasks and provide a revolutionary leak-free and lead-free water delivery system. 4380-ss_pilar_250 With Touch2O Technology users can start and stop the flow of water with a simple tap anywhere on the spout or the handle, saving both water and energy.    Touch2O Technology also makes kitchen tasks easier during food preparation and clean up and helps prevent the spread of bacteria.

The Pilar design incorporates a two-function, pull-down spray head that switches from stream to spray with the click of a diverter button, and a magnetic closure, Magna Tite engages the spray head to its docked position. The faucet also features Delta’s Diamond Seal Technology, an exclusive water delivery system that reduces leak points, eliminates contact with potential metal contaminants, simplifies installation, and provides long-lasting performance.

The intuitive tap technology, built into the Touch2O enables you to turn the faucet on and off with just a touch — anywhere on the faucet’s body or handle.   So, when hands are messy during meal prep or clean-up, Touch2O Technology helps reduce the spread of germs and bacteria — simply touch the faucet body with your wrist or forearm.   And Touch2O  Technology can also help you conserve water. As you prepare food or wash up in the sink, just tap the Touch2O™ faucet to keep water from running when you don’t need it. Then just touch it again to start the water flowing again.  The Touch 2O is currently available on the Pilar series faucets.
