Kohler Introduces the C3™125 $900 Dollar Seat

I’ve said before – leave it to Kohler to introduce a totally unique product that no one really needs. This is what makes Kohler Company great. Kohler is one of the largest, if not the largest, privately held manufacturing companies in this country.

They can introduce new products because they want to. Yes they want to make a return on their time, research and development that goes into all their products, but they don’t have to answer to stockholders and “The Market.” This allows Kohler to be creative, design, produce and sell some of the most unique plumbing faucets, fixtures, accessories and furniture in the world.

This is the time of year when new products are being introduced and shown at the International Builders Show, going on now, at least during the writing of this post (January 19-22, 2010) in Las Vegas. The show is jam-packed with builders, developers, re-modelers, architects, designers looking for the latest products to set them apart from their competition. This is where Kohler will introduce new colors, faucets, water saving products and a $900 toilet seat.

At first glance the new K-C3™125 has the appearance of NASCAR stock car parked quietly with the lights out after dark. The C3™125 is designed for comfort and cleanliness and uses naturally soothing water as a refreshing cleansing alternative to toilet tissue. A side control easily operates the two self-cleaning wands, warm air dryer, deoderizer and adjusts the temperature of the seat.
