Kohler Re-Launches SaveWaterAmerica.com with Updated Look

In March, Layer One Media re-launched SaveWaterAmerica.com for the Kohler Company with an updated look and new features including an interactive map providing information on Kohler’s impact over the past year of the campaign that has positively affected hundreds of local chapters of Habitat for Humanity.

The site was originally designed and built by Layer One Media to increase awareness in Kohler’s water saving initiatives and products, to raise product donations for Habitat for Humanity and to educate visitors about freshwater conservation. Kohler has recognizes the looming freshwater shortage facing the United States, and that saving water inside the home represents the best opportunity for a family to make a significant difference on their water consumption. The SaveWaterAmerica.com campaign is dedicated to educating homeowners, while benefiting Habitat for Humanity at the same time. Kohler donates Kohler plumbing products to Habitat for Humanity based on consumers use of the site. Try it out for yourself at: SaveWaterAmerica.com

Kohler has donated more than $1.5M million dollars of water saving plumbing products. Through this program Kohler has helped supply product to many Habitat’s of Humanity throughout the country and has also won the Manufacturing Partner of the Year award through the EPA’s WaterSense program: WaterSense .

Nearly 30,000 visitors have completed the quiz. The success of the program has spurred Kohler Co. to donate beyond the $1 per quiz originally planned. In addition to the donation on their behalf visitors are able to see where their state ranks in donations, find local toilet replacement rebates and share the website with friends through Twitter and Facebook.
