Kohler Wins 2009 EPA WaterSense Partner of the Year – again

Congratulations to Kohler Company again for winning the 2009 EPA’s WaterSense Partner of the Year!  Kohler Company, of Kohler Wisconsin, was chosen by the Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense program as the Manufacturing Partner of the Year for the second time in as many years as the award has been in existence.

Founded in 1873,  Kohler Co. is one of America’s oldest and largest privately held companies.  Kohler is a global leader in the manufacture of kitchen and bath products, engines and power generation systems, cabinetry, tile and home interiors.  This is great for Kohler and Kohler has specific WaterSense products designated to comply with the WaterSense guidelines.

Currently Kohler’s complete faucet line  complies with the WaterSense guidelines and about 25 of their toilets comply.   What are other maufacturers doing to promote water conservation? Is Moen, Delta or Grohe doing anything to support this cause?

Other winners in 2009 are:

The Partners of the Year contribute to the program’s success by enhancing the market for water-efficient products, practices, and services. Manufacturer Partners design and produce innovative WaterSense labeled products that reduce water use by at least 20 percent; retailers and distributors help bring these products to consumers; promotional Partners educate the public at large and even provide consumers with incentives; and landscape irrigation professionals design, maintain, and audit outdoor irrigation systems. Dedicated Partners in each sector are critical to the program’s success and the WaterSense Partner of the Year awards program acknowledges the ‘best of the best.’
