Kohler calls it the ‘
PeacekeeperA patented, factory-installed, battery-powered, seat-actuated KOHLER flushing system, which initiates the flush cycle when the user simply lowers the seat lid.’ and others say it literally keeps the peace between little boys and girls learning to use the toilet. The Peacekeeper is ‘A patented, factory-installed, battery-powered, seat-actuated KOHLER flushing system, which initiates the flush cycle when the user simply lowers the seat lid,’ directly from Kohler’s Bathroom Glossary in their Planning Guide. In simpler terms the toilet automatically flushes when you close the seat lid. It’s very ingenious actually, I don’t know of another plumbing manufacturer that has created something like this. It uses a Kohler Brevia seat with a Magnet installed into the seat lid. As in most physics laws for each action there is a re-action. The re-action of lifting the seat lid, while using the toilet, and keeping it in the up position against the
tankThe fixture reservoir for flushing water. On a conventional toilet, the ballcockThe mechanism that controls the flow of water into a gravity-operated toilet tank. The ballcock is controlled by the float mechanism floating in the water in the tank. When the toilet is flushed, the float drops and opens the ballcock, allowing water to enter the tank and/or bowlA water-containing receptor that receives liquid and solid body waste; two general bowl classifications are round-front and elongated.. The float rises as the water level in the tank is restored, and shuts off the ballcock when the tank is completely filled. Also referred to as a float valve., flush valve and trip lever are installed in the tank. A tank lid closes the top tank opening. for 20 seconds or more, initiates the re-action with the magnetic sensor inside the tank. After taking care of business, the seat lid is lowered to the closed position and ‘actuates’ the flushing system inside the tank. The Peacekeeper works on 2 – D Cell batteries and by design raises the chain inside the tank just as a
trip leverA lever that is rotated to initiate the toilet flush cycle. Factory-installed trip levers have a Polished Chrome finish; optional trimAny non-vitreous china toilet components, with the exception of the seat. Examples include the ballcock, bolt caps and trip lever. kits offer trip levers in other finishes. Toilets equipped with a Peacekeeper® seat-actuated flush do not have a trip lever. would to initiate the flushing of the toilet. Peacekeeper toilets look just like the standard Wellworth without the trip lever and this toilet can be used for right-hand and left-hand accessibility, since there is no trip lever on either side of the tank.
The Peacekeeper is available in a Wellworth Round or Elongated style, Highline style and the Round-Front with a 10″ rough-in.
