There are several different types of faucets offered for the claw foot tub. The claw foot tub faucet is commonly made out of metal, but it can be found made of other resources such as plastic.

The most familiar design is one which mounts to the inside front of the tub assembly, with the water discharge facing straight down. This is traditionally called the wall mount style, even though it really mounts in the tub area.

Another common design for the claw foot tub faucet is fastened in the same fashion, but has a water discharge which goes in a high loupe over the top of the tub. This is commonly called the gooseneck design faucet, and commonly range in height from six inches to twelve inches.

The hand shower claw foot tub faucet is comparable to the wall mount unit, but has the additional feature of a flexible hose, and hand held shower head, which can be used for rinsing off if desired. It in addition has the regular spout for filling the tub. The nozzle or the shower head can be selected by moving a lever on the faucet unit.

The deck fastened faucet is one more popular model with claw foot tub faucet enthusiasts. This faucet mounts on the top edge of the tub, and can be had with merely a plain faucet, a gooseneck faucet, or a hand held shower.

The free standing faucet is built to mount to the wall in front or to the side of a tub. It works great if the tub does not have any holes or room for mounting.

All of these various claw foot tub faucet models can be had in several assorted style and colors, such as chrome, brass, gold, and several other types of finishes.

Nearly all faucets are often available with a variety of assorted handles, hardware, and hoses.
