Why Specialize…

I specialize in discontinued Kohler faucets + fixtures, because that is what I’m good at. Specializing has helped distributors and consumers feel comfortable with me when I buy and sell their products. When the consumer has questions, I can answer them without bothering the distributor – I was a distributor for 19 years.

I know the product inside and out, I’m good at what I do. I can empty a Kohler faucet box and right away know what parts are missing, and I always have the Kohler “Genuine” replacement parts in my inventory. I will buy Kohler faucets that I know are missing parts, since my distributors usually don’t have time to go through all their “open box” items, order the parts, and put them back in inventory.

I realized before you can’t be everything to everyone and be good at it. There’s too much frustration in trying to be good at everything. There is so much information of every item – comparisons, tech facts, reports the larger distributors have specialists in each department.

Distributors send me lists of Delta, Moen, Grohe, Elkay… all the time for me to sell for them, and I normally sell it all in one lot for them. Don’t get me confused with a liquidator – they buy whatever they can cheap. I have bought faucets from liquidators who have no clue what they are doing. I usually end up throwing half of the parts away that are scratched and/or incorrect and rebuilding the faucets.
